A proper fit feels secure but pressure-free. You shouldn’t need constant adjustment. Check for gaps: cup hands over mask while exhaling sharply—if air leaks significantly around edges, adjust nose wire or straps. You should be able to talk comfortably without the mask collapsing onto your mouth.
